Dulce Banoffee Pie

I call this Dulce Banoffee Pie because I use Dulce de Leche instead of caramel, it has a creamy texture and more conveinient for you!

 

Ingredients

 

Base

1 Packet of your favourite biscuits, I use gingernuts, be conscious on your choices and try to support palm oil free brands

100g Butter

 

Filling

2 x 500g Jars Dulce De Leche

6 Bananas

 

Topping

300ml Whipped cream

Small amount of Whittaker's chocolate for grating

 

Method

 

Firstly for the base, melt the butter and separately in a food processor (or with a pan and some anger) smash the biscuits to crumbs

Mix together the biscuit and butter

Grease and line with baking paper a cheesecake tin or similar, one with a collapsable base will make it easier later.

Set this in the fridge for 30 minutes

 

Meanwhile dice 3 banans and slice the other 3.

Mix the diced banana in a bowl with the dulce de leche

 

When the biscuit base is set add the dulce de leche

Next neatly layer with the sliced banana

 

Top the whole thing with the whipped cream and finish by grating the chocolate on top for decoration
